Ranchi : Four Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supporters on their way to a rally to be addressed by party chief Lalu Prasad were killed Thursday when their Bolero jeep collided with a truck in Jharkhand’s Garwah district.

Police said eight others were injured in the accident, which took place near Soh village in Garwah district, about 140 km from here.

The condition of two of the injured is stated to be serious.

The RJD workers were coming to Ranchi attend the party’s Chetna rally Thursday.

Last week, six supporters of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Democratic died in a road accident on the Ranchi-Jamshedpur national highway when they were returning from a rally.
