Cairo : Kuwait’s prime minister, Sheik Nasser al Muhammad al Ahmed al Sabah, expressed opposition to any military action against Iran.
After meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Sheik Nasser called for the resumption of talks with that Persian state, the official news agency MENA reported.
On the situation in Iraq, the Kuwaiti prime minister said his government backs the administration of Nuri al Maliki and expects its neighbor to solve all internal problems and achieve stability.
He added that Kuwaiti authorities would organize a meeting of leaders from Iraq’s bordering countries in March to help recover the balance lost after the war the United States has waged against Iraq in its quest for Arab oil.
The Kuwaiti prime minister left Egypt after a two-day visit, during which he met with top local authorities.
