Rourkela : A woman was arrested in Orissa Friday for allegedly trafficking four young women from neighbouring Jharkhand to Delhi, the police said.

The woman was arrested from the railway station in Rourkela, some 500 km from Bhubaneswar, while she was travelling along with the four, Arjun Kumar Sahu, In-charge Rourkela Railway Police, told IANS.

All five are from Jharkhand, Sahu said, and added that the woman had assured the victims she would get them jobs in private companies in Delhi.

Some passengers became suspicious of the woman and informed the police, following which she was arrested, Sahu said.

The four young women are between 16 and 20 and are residents of Kechupali village in Jharkhand’s Simdega district.
