Zardari meets Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind

LAHORE, Feb 16 (APP)- Chief PML-N Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari Saturday agreed to launch a joint movement against rigging after February 18 elections.“We are taking part in the elections as a protest and if the government try to rig it strong movement will be launched,” they said this during their meeting at Sharif’s residence, Jati Umra Raiwind near here on Saturday.

Both the leaders held one-to-one meeting for an hour and later PPP and PML-N leaders including Jahangir Badar, Sheri Rehman, Qasim Zia, Senator Latif Khosa, Ishaq Dar and Sadiq ul Farooq joined the meeting.

They also discussed upcoming elections, rigging and law and order situation of the country.

They said that if the government attempted to rig the polls on the election day it would push the country towards crises.

Both the parties will jointly work to foil the rigging plan on the elections day, they said adding, foreign observers and media would be informed about the rigging.
