Agartala : At least nine people, including two women, were killed and 24 injured in two separate road accidents in Tripura, police said here Sunday.
A police spokesman said three people died on the spot and 18 other passengers were injured Saturday night when a truck collided with a speeding jeep at Baikhora, 110 km from here.
“Five of the injured later succumbed to their injuries,” the police official Nepal Das said.
In another accident, a student was killed and 11 injured Saturday when a jeep in which they were travelling, fell into a deep gorge at Vangmun, 200 km from here.
