Bhopal : As many as six people were abducted in two separate incidents in Shivpuri and Sheopur districts of Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior division but three of those kidnapped have been released, police said Friday.

“While the abductions took place Tuesday, we learnt about them Thursday when three of those released by the robbers came to us for help,” Shivpuri District Superintendent of Police Dinesh Chandra Sharma said.

Baired Parmal and Savaram Advasi of Tora village had gone to collect wood when they were kidnapped by a group of about six robbers, Sharma said.

A few hours later, the robbers abducted four residents of Thebla village in Sheopur district but released three of them.

The freed villagers – Naresh Dhakad, Kallu Dhakad and Murari Dhakad – informed the police about the incident.

Sheopur Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh said an operation has been launched to nab the robbers and rescue the three men still in the clutches of the robbers.
