Gaza : Three Palestinians were killed Saturday in an Israeli strike on northern Gaza Strip soon after militants launched makeshift rockets at Israel, medics and witnesses said.
Witnesses in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza said an Israeli surface-to-surface missile hit the area killing three civilian bystanders.
Mo’aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency and ambulance services, said the bodies were taken to a hospital there.
The Israeli strike came shortly after two homemade rockets were fired from the area at southern Israel, witnesses said.
Earlier Saturday, the Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) claimed responsibility for launching two rockets from northern Gaza at the Israeli town of Sderout.
