Monumental book on life and revolution of Imam Hussain released

By IRNA

Srinagar, India : Qateel-Nainava, a book on the blessed life of Imam Hussain-ibn-Ali (AS) was released at auspicious ceremonies held simultaneously in various Indian cities and abroad.

The 640-page book, Qateel-e-Nainava, is a masterpiece penned by renowned scholar of Kashmir, late Maulana Mustafa Hussain Ansari. The book is first of its kind in Urdu language, which encompasses the entire life span of Imam and different aspects of his struggle, which culminated at the tragedy of Karbala.

The author has laboriously, used hundreds of references mostly from the books of Ahlal Sunna, and convincingly brought home the point that the tragedy at Karbala was the last ditch attempt by Ummayads to silence the movement of Islam which they began after their defeat in the battle of Badr .

The book has been published at a time when there has been a surge in writings by pseudo-intellectuals backed by anti-Islamic powers distorting the truth and trying vainly to paint the movement of Imam Hussain as the struggle for power.

The recent controversial remarks by well known Indian speaker Dr Zakir Naik about the personality of Imam Hussain and the tragedy of Karbala has created a stir among the Muslim circles across India and beyond.

Qateel-e-Nainava is considered to be a devastating reply to such slanderous writings and attempts against the household of Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The book, published by Mustafa Ansari Foundation, Kashmir, was released at functions held simultaneously in Srinagar, Bombay, Bangalore and Leeds (UK).
