Gaza : Israeli forces executed an incursion early Sunday into the eastern outskirts of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian witnesses said.
Witnesses told KUNA that a large number of tanks and several helicopters were engaged in the incursion, as well as special forces which were firing heavily at houses in the area.
Search operations are ongoing in areas close to Rafah International Airport and Jaradat district, just by Gaza’s border with Egypt, they added.
Israeli forces had executed an incursion into the eastern outskirts of Rafah on Wednesday, killing two civilians and wounding some 15 others, as well as arresting 40 Palestinians and holding them for interrogation.
