Islamabad : Ambassadors of five countries presented their credentials to President Pervez Musharraf here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.These included the High Commissioner (designate) of Bangladesh Ms Yasmeen Murshed, Ambassador (designate) of Nepal Bala Buhadur Kanwal, Ambassador (designate) of Italy Vineenzo Prati, Ambassador (designate) of Ethiopia Dr Tawfik Abdullahi Ahmed and Ambassador (designate) of Croatia Esad Prohic.
The ambassadors of two countries will be non-resident; Ethiopia will be based in Sanaa and of Croatia will be based in Tehran.
Earlier a contingent of the three services of the armed forces presented a salute to the ambassadors when they arrived at the President House. National anthems of Pakistan and the respective countries was played. The ambassadors reviewed the guard of honour.
Later the ambassadors separately called on the President. The President appreciated the role of the outgoing ambassadors in strengthening the bilateral relations and hoped that these would further intensify during the term of the new ambassadors.
