Ludhiana : The Punjab Police Wednesday recovered nearly 950 kg of poppy husk from a truck near here.
The police said the contraband was being brought from Rajasthan in 25 gunny bags and was to be supplied to drug peddlers in Phillaur town, 15 km from here.
The truck was intercepted near Kalyanpur village following a tip off. While the police nabbed driver Ranjit Singh, two others in the truck escaped.
