Azamgarh: On December 30, 2007, 500 pairs were tied in nuptial ties without any dowry in international congregation of Tablighi Jama’at held here at Sarai Mir, district Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh.

In the 3-day congregation, the speakers held that religious education is absolutely essential for Muslims, especially for their younger generation, in order to tread the path ordained by Allah properly.

Stressing that religious education must be a part of daily routine, they advised that Muslims should make religious education a part of their daily schedule in order to gain the knowledge and proper understanding of the realities of Islam and keep steadfast on the path of guidance in the light of the Holy Qur’an. These speakers emphasized that a person unaware of Islamic teachings remains ignorant about his duties as a Muslim. Therefore, religious knowledge is exceedingly important for every Muslim.
