Gaza : Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barrak has threatened to continue the military operation in the Gaza Strip, saying that it had proven to be successful in confronting Palestinians.
In a statement to Radio Israel Wednesday, he said: “Israel will not back out from a wide-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip, although it is not excited about it.”
On Tuesday night, Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians from three different factions in attacks by tanks and air strikes. Another 10 Palestinians were wounded.
