Kuala Lumpur : Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak hosted a dinner for visiting Indian Defence Minister A.K. Anthony here Sunday night.
Anthony arrived here Sunday evening for a three-day visit aimed at further enhancing defence ties between New Delhi and Kuala Lumpur and to reciprocate the visit by Najib, who is also the Defence Minister, to India in 2006.
Anthony, who has served thrice as chief minister of the southern Indian state of Kerala, is leading a 10-member delegation on the visit, the first by him to Malaysia after his appointment to the post in October 2006.
On Monday, Anthony is scheduled to call on Najib at the Defence Ministry here. He will also hold talks with Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar in Putrajaya, the Malaysian administrative capital, just south fo here.
Among those present at the dinner were Deputy Defence Minister Zainal Abidin Zin and Chief of Defence Forces General Abdul Aziz Zainal.
