Jammu : Terming the demand of right of self-determination as a birth right of Kashmiries, Abdul Wahid Kashmiri Chief Commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba, one of the dreaded militant outfit fighting in Jammu and Kashmir, has urged the international community to pressurize India to settle the Kashmir dispute as per the UN resolution.
In a message on the eve of Self Determination Week, Kashmiri said that Government of India has admitted the right of Kashmiries before the United Nation and it can not deny the same to the common masses of the state.
“First Prime Minister of India had promised before the United Nation that the residents of the state would be given the right to decide their future but India is now using muscle power to curb the genuine voice of innocent Kashmiries”, Dr Abdullah Gaznavi, spokesman of the outfit, in a statement on behalf of his chief commander told News Agency of Kashmir.
India has always tried to mislead the world and has never shown seriousness to settle the Kashmir issue, the statement said adding, “International community should pressurize Government of India to fulfill its promise in the light of UN resolution”.
He further appreciated Kashmiries for their decades old “struggle against Indian occupation”. “Days are not far away when we will achieve our goal by forcing India to admit our demand of self determination”, the statement added.
