Bhopal: A two-day customer meet being held at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit on the performance of Electrics Diesel Electric Locomotives used by Indian Railways was inaugurated by Sukul Lomash, General Manager (Tptn & CET).
C. K. Shrikhande, General Manager (SCR), M. C. Pant, ED, RDSO; Senior executives and employees of BHEL were present on this occasion.
Lomash mentioned the importance of such meets in knowing the good features of BHEL equipments and the features requiring improvement from the point of service performance. He expected that BHEL together with the representative RDSO & Zonal Railways would be able to evolve an action plan for improving the performance and reliability of BHEL equipments in deliberations during the customer meet.
Shrikhande mentioned that such meets would definitely be helpful in interacting with customer and improve service performance of equipments.
Pant appreciated BHEL’s effort in improving quality, reliability of the traction equipment and congratulated BHEL for the good work being done in this direction for Indian Railways benefits.
The meet, first ever effort in knowing customer feedback on performance of traction machines and control equipments manufactured by BHEL for various diesel electric locomotives for Indian Railways is being attended by nearly 60 participants from RDSO, DLW & Zonal Railways along with senior officers from BHEL.
