Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh will implement a new youth policy for overall development of youth, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said here Saturday.

The chief minister was addressing a Youth Parliament held by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) – the youth wing of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.

Appreciating the suggestions for the draft of the youth policy, presented by the BJYM, Chouhan said fresh recruitment had been banned during the previous Congress regime but his government has provided jobs to 129,000 young people.

Employment opportunities would be opened for another one million people by the end of 2008, he said.

The chief minister said the Global Investors Summit held in Indore would not only lead to rise in investment in the state but would also generate employment on a large scale.
