Patna : A Bihar legislative council employee, reported missing from here since Jan 5, was found killed Monday morning.
Akhilesh Singh, 37, a clerk in the legislative council, left his home on a motorbike Jan 5. The police recovered the bike from a deserted place a day later but found no trace of Singh.
His body was recovered from a well in Gardanibagh locality.
“After the police recovered his motorcycle, we feared he had been kidnapped,” said Singh’s elder brother.
Some people staged a protest in the area and demanded action against the culprits even as police arrested two people in this connection.
Singh, a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supporter, was allegedly involved in lending money at high interest rates, which the police suspect could have a bearing on his sudden disappearance.
