New Delhi : Intellectuals and strategic affairs experts from India, China and the US will meet in Kerala Jan 21-23 for a conference organised by Janata Party MP Subramaniam Swamy to “look at the possibility of developing a triumvirate” of the three nations.
“Noted policy experts from Harvard University as well as Chinese and Indian professors along with foreign policy framers in the external affairs ministry will be attending this brainstorming session,” Swamy told reporters here Monday.
“India and China are the fastest growing economies in the world today. They have also the largest populations. It is worth examining whether the three can work together or whether any two of them would come together against the third. Only after the experts have examined this issue threadbare, I would be able to say anything,” he added.
“This is going to be the first such conference in India,” he said thanking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee for wishing him well in this endeavour.
