US Electoral Campaign Boiling

Washington, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) Republican and Democrat pre-candidates to the US Presidency strengthen their election campaign and mutual attacks on the eve of the Michigan primary elections, the third of this electoral marathon.

During the last few days, the main candidates to the White House increased their trips, speeches and activities throughout the states of the region.

New York senator Hillary Clinton, for the democratic side, and her adversary Barack Obama for Illinois, have the most possibilities, although ex legislator John Edwards is on their heels.

Meanwhile, in the republican field, the struggle is led by Arizona’s senator John McCain, New York’s ex Major Rudolph Giuliani and Arkansas’ ex Governor Mike Huckabee.

However, democrats are not worried about Michigan’s results since the leadership punished the grassroots there for bringing forward the date of elections.

Although Iraq has been a favorite issue for months it was pushed to the background due to economic uncertainty and the US people’s fear of a recession.
