Gaza : Nine Palestinians were killed and 20 others were injured, some seriously, in an Israeli incursion in Al-Zaitoun district and Al-Shujaia south of Gaza city.
Palestinian medical sources from Al-Shifa Hospital said the nine killed Palestinians were not identified yet.
The Palestinians were killed and injured after Israeli forces fired tank missiles their homes east Malaka roundabout.
Meanwhile, Ezzidin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that six out of the nine killed were its activists, adding that one of them was the son of the former Palestinian Foreign Minister and Hamas leader Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar.
Eyewitnesses said the Israeli forces were firing missiles aimlessly at the homes of Palestinians in the region.
Israeli tanks are centralized at Malaka roundabout near Al-Zaitoun district and opening heavy fire at the Palestinian citizens, while Israeli bulldozers are destroying agricultural areas.
Eyewitnesses said a number of homes in the district were damaged in the Israeli attack.
They pointed out that Israeli military and monitoring helicopters are flying over the region that witnesses the deployment of Palestinian resistance militants.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Army announced that it injured five Palestinians Tuesday morning in its incursion in eastern Gaza.
Israeli Army spokesman told Radio Israel that Israeli on-foot forces, tanks, and engineering units intruded in the city early Tuesday.
The spokesman claimed that the incursion aims to destroy the infrastructure of the Palestinian militant groups.
