Ramallah : A Palestinian activist was killed on Monday in an armed clash with Israeli forces in in the West Bank town of Tulkarm.
The killed Palestinian is an activist in Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
Eyewitnesses in Thanaba district, where the clashes took place, said a large number of Israeli soldiers surrounded the house of Murad Al-Basha, ordered its residents to evacuate it, and held them outside the house for hours, suffering from cold weather and biting winds.
The witnesses added that Al-Basha refused to leave his home and clashed with the Israeli forces which led to his killing.
Meanwhile, Israeli media sources said that an Israeli soldier was injured in the shoulder with a bullet.
Israeli forces also destroyed parts of Al-Basha’s home with a bulldozer before removing his body from the heap of the destroyed house.
