Dhaka : Four people were killed and 30 injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Dhamrai, about 60 km south of Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, Tuesday noon.
Police and witnesses were quoted by private news agency UNB as saying, the two buses collided in a fatal accident at about 12 p.m. local time (0600 GMT), killing four passengers instantly.
The injured were admitted to different local hospitals.
Bangladesh has one of the highest fatality rates for road accidents, which kill more than 10,000 people every year, according to official statistics.
