Islamabad : The Joint production of JF-17 thunder jet by Pakistan and China started Tuesday at Kamra, near Islamabad, officials said.
The launching ceremony was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra.
The JF-17 thunder jet can also be upgraded to carry conventional and non-conventional weapons.
Air Chief Marshal Tanveer Mahmood, who was the chief guest, said that the JF-17 would significantly contribute to beefing up Pakistan s air defense.
He said that the production of the jet showed the remarkable time-tested friendship of Pakistan with China in all fields.
