New Delhi : State-owned engineering company Engineers India Ltd (EIL) has posted net profit of Rs.502 million ($12.7 million) in the Oct-Dec quarter of fiscal 2007-08, 26 percent higher than the net profit reported for the same period last year, the company said Thursday.
EIL also reported total income of over Rs.2 billion.
“The company has posted a net profit of Rs.502.50 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2007 as compared to Rs.398.8 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2006,” EIL said.
“Total income has increased from Rs.1,539 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2006 to Rs.2,062.7 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2007,” the company said.
