Kuala Lumpur : The U.S. ambassador to Malaysia, Jimmy Keith said Thursday that his country is confident to put the last touches on a free trade agreement with Malaysia during the next summer.
Keith told reporters in the Malaysian city of Kotakinabalo that the last round of talks held in Kuala Lumpur on the free trade agreement between the two countries made clear progress.
He pointed out that the U.S. presidential elections which are to be held next November and the Malaysian general elections which are to be held soon, are primary reasons for the need to reach an early accord on the free trade agreement between the two countries for joint interests.
