Gaza Border Pass, Rafah, Opening Soon

By Prensa Latina,

Ramallah : Egypt will open for three days the border pass in Rafah, on the border with Gaza, said the Islamic Resistance (Hamas).

Rafah terminal, closed on June 2007, will allow the Palestinians living or studying outside Gaza to exit and on the third day will allow passage of Palestinians living in Egypt.

Hamas also announced an up coming meeting in Cairo’s with the Palestinian National Authority, the European Union and Hamas to discuss permanent opening of Rafah terminal.

The closing followed Hamas rule in Gaza following clashes with supporters of Al Fatah Movement.

The talks to reopen Rafah is tied to the six-month truce in Gaza that Israel and Hamas agreed ten days ago and has been repeatedly violated.
