Explosions at Bulgarian army depot near capital, no reports of injuries

Sofia, Bulgaria : Bulgarian officials say powerful explosions rocked an army munition depot near the capital, Sofia, AP reported. There have been no reports of injuries.

Officials say the blasts happened near the village of Chelopechene, just outside Sofia, at 6:30 a.m. (0330 GMT) Thursday and could be heard in the capital. Smaller
explosions could still be heard two hours later.

Defense Minister Nikolai Tsonev said there were nearly 20 tons of munitions at this army depot. Emergency teams are at the blast site.
