Bhopal: In India’s giant Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit, Management Employee Communication Meeting, (MECOM), was held on Friday in BHEL cultural hall.
The theme of the meeting was Daily Works Management & Team Work. R. K. Singh, Executive Director, BHEL; Prabhat Kumar, General Manager (P&D), Alok Shukla, Addl. General Manager (HR), all General Managers, senior executives and employees in large numbers were present on this occasion.
Singh in his address congratulated the employees for their outstanding performance during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2007-08. He said that Team Work and Daily Works Management System is the secret of this success. He said that steep rise in the prices of steel, copper, mineral oil and other raw materials have put a challenge before us to reduce our cost price without any compromise with the quality of our products. For this we all have to go for new designs and latest technology.
Singh, felicitated the best Quality Circles for better Quality Management in the Unit as well as Hari Das Mistry, Suresh Sonpure and Padmshri B. L. Choukse for being honoured with Shram Award by the Madhya Pradesh Government. Listening to the problems of the employees he directed the concerned departments to look into the matter and resolve the problems immediately. He also answered to the quarries of the employees.
Earlier, Prabhat Kumar, made a presentation on the performance of the first quarter of this year and incentives for the employees from the New Reward Scheme. He said that BHEL employees are at par with the best employees of any front line company in the world in technical skill.
