Pyongyang : North Korea on Friday urged the remaining five nations involved in the six-way talks to comply with their obligations since Pyongyang has already achieved 80 percent of the bargain.
China, the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and North Korea are the six countries taking part in the negotiations on denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
The North Korean Foreign Ministry issued a declaration today saying that thanks to the country’s sincere efforts, the implementation of October 7, 2007 agreement is entering a new phase.
“The neutralization of our nuclear facilities has been fulfilled by more than 80 percent, and we have also accomplished with the presentation of a truthful, perfect nuclear declaration,” the note reads, according to KCNA agency.
It would be fair that the rest of countries at the talks join “our efforts by truly achieving their pledges,” it added.
The five nations promised to provide North Korea with energy and financial benefits.
