Islamabad : At least nine people were killed Sunday after a four-storey building collapsed in the southern port city of Karachi, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
Nine people, including a two-year-old boy were killed after the building collapsed in Karachi, the report quoted chief fire officer Ehtesham Siddiqui as saying.
Over a dozen people were injured in the incident. Around six to seven families were living in the building, he said.
Siddiqui said substandard construction might be one reason for the mishap.
An official of the Edhi volunteer ambulance service said the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital in Karachi.
