Islamabad : Suspected militants in an attack on poliice van killed two policemen and wounded another Wednesday in a Pakistani northern district. Meanwhile, paramilitary force has claimed arresting a Tajik Al-Qaeda linked militant.
The militants attacked a police mobile van in Mardan district of North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), police sources told KUNA. They said the attack left two policemen dead and another wounded. Upon retaliatory firing, said sources, a militant was killed while others managed to escape. Meanwhile, Frontier Corps (FC) has claimed arresting a Tajik Al-Qaeda linked suspect from a village near Peshawar, capital of NWFP, FC sources said.
They said the suspect has been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
