New Delhi : Two youths received gunshot injuries in separate incidents in the capital, the police said Wednesday. While one was shot when he was riding his motorcycle, the other was injured by a stray bullet.

Adit, 22, was shot late Tuesday night while he was riding his motorcycle with a friend in northeast Delhi’s Welcome Colony.

“The bullet pierced his head. He was taken to the Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) hospital by onlookers, where his condition is stated to be critical,” a police officer said.

“We suspect it to be a case of personal enmity as Adit had quarrel with a person three months back,” the officer said.

In another incident, 26-year-old Javed was injured late Tuesday night after a stray bullet hit his knee in Seelampur. He was taken to GTB hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

“We suspect a stray bullet hit him. Javed has no known enmity with anyone and the incident happened when he was talking to his friends,” a police officer said.

Last week, four unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants shot dead three people in Amar Colony and Andrews Ganj neighbourhoods of south Delhi.

Two people were gunned down in Amar Colony and one was killed at nearby Andrews Ganj by the same shooters Friday, the police said.
