National Conference non-committal on support to UPA

By IANS,

New Delhi : The National Conference Sunday kept the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government guessing on whether it would support it during Tuesday’s crucial floor test.

National Conference President Omar Abdullah Sunday said the party has made up its mind about whom to support but refused to make it public.

The National Conference, main opposition party in Jammu and Kashmir, had earlier this week authorised Omar Abdullah to take the final decision on whether or not to vote in favour of the UPA.

“I don’t need to go public about my decision,” Abdullah told IANS.

The National Conference has two MPs in the Lok Sabha.
