Lok Sabha adjourned again, till 6 p.m.

New Delhi : The Lok Sabha was Tuesday adjourned for a third time – till 6 p.m. – as an all-party meeting was underway in Speaker Somnath Chatterjee’s chamber to deal with the situation arising out of three BJP members displaying wads of currency in the house, alleging the government’s supporters had given them the money ahead of a crucial trust vote.

The house was first adjourned early for lunch due to unruly scemnes during the speech by Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi.

Then the Lok Sabha was adjourned again for an hour a little after 4 p.m. when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs advanced to the Lok Sabha secretary-general’s table and pulled the money out of three leather bags.
