Gaza : Four Palestinians, including three Hamas militants and an eight-year-old girl, were killed and 20 others injured in an explosion in the Gaza Strip Friday evening, Hamas’ armed wing said.
Al-Qassam Brigade of Hamas said in a statement that the bomb attack was carried out against a car with its three members inside.
All of the three militants in the car were killed, as well as the girl nearby, said the statement.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known, but al-Qassam Brigade accused Hamas’ rival Fatah movement of being behind the bomb attack.
Earlier, Hamas Interior Office said three Palestinians were killed in an explosion near a police checkpoint in the Coastal Road of Gaza.
The explosion is the third in Gaza in the day. In one of the explosions on Friday morning, a Palestinian civilian was killed.
A second explosion targeted a Hamas lawmaker’s house, causing damage to the house, but no one was injured.
The Islamist Hamas movement took over the Gaza Strip from Fatah and security forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in June last year, following a-week-long deadly infighting.
