Tokyo : Hundreds of Japanese people staged protests Monday against the arrival of the US “Ronald Reagan” nuclear aircraft carriers to the Sasebo port, in the prefecture of Nagasaki, the Kyodo news agency reported.
The rejection to those attacks and anchoring from US atomic attacks are common in Nagasaki, for being along with Hiroshima, the two Japanese martyr cities victims of the attacks with nuclear bombs launched by United States on August 6-9, 1945.
Attacks took place in front of the Pentagon base located in this western archipelago port, while crew members from 20 Japanese fishing boats protested in the sea with placards, the source states.
This is 10th nuclear aircraft carriers that arrive in Sasebo since 1968 and the second one that does it in the same years.
