New Delhi: The Aligarh Alumni Association of Metro Washington area (AAA) has strongly condemned the reprehensible and despicable terrorist acts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
In the serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad on 25th and 26th July respectively, more than 50 people were killed and around 200 wounded.
The association has expressed its sympathy with the families of innocent victims, and extended their condolences. AAA appealed to the people of Bangalore and Ahmadabad not to succumb to the agenda of divisive forces.
AAA has urged the authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation and punish the perpetrators of these heinous crimes. The association appealed to the concerned governmental agencies and media to refrain from issuing unsubstantiated statements implying involvement of Muslim community.
“We also expect the central Indian government to play a more forceful role in the investigative process. Regretfully, the modus operendi of most State governments—especially BPJ-led government—is to indiscriminately round up a few Muslims and torture them into confession while in their custody,” says a press release by AAA
