Dubai : An Indian has been arrested in the emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on charges of killing his brother.
The Criminal Investigation Department of Ajman Police has arrested Ibrahim on charges of stabbing his brother Mohamed to death with a sharp knife over a personal conflict, the Gulf Today reported.
According to the report, police received a telephone call Monday about Mohamed lying dead in a pool of blood in his flat in the Al Nuaimia area of Ajman.
Mohamed had shared the flat with Ibrahim.
All indications showed that there was no entry to the flat from outside.
On being questioned, Ibrahim said that he had woken up at 6 a.m. Monday and had gone to the toilet. On emerging from the toilet, he found his brother lying dead on the floor bleeding profusely.
However, on sustained interrogation, he broke down and confessed to committing the crime, police said.
