Lucknow : Former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is to be conferred a honorary doctorate by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the university said Friday.
Two others who will also receive honorary doctorates are índustrialist Ratan Tata and Wipro chief Azim Premji, AMU spokesman Rahat Abrar told IANS over telephone.
The doctorates will be given away at the convocation ceremony June 17. Kalam will also interact with children of more than 50 schools in Aligarh, Abrar said.
