New Delhi : Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia will rub shoulders with some of the present greats of the game as he has been invited to play a friendly match July 12 at the launch of Goal4Africa Project.
Players like Kaka, Steven Gerrad, Gianluigi Buffon, Rud van Nistelroy and Didier Drogba will also play in the match, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) said.
Dutch legend Clarence Seedorf, global ambassador for the Goal4Africa Project, has invited Bhutia to participate in the friendly match, which will also celebrate former South African president Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday, at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The Goal4Africa project plans to raise 90 million euros as a tribute to Mandela and the development of the continent.
Celebrities and other world leaders will also participate in the event.
