Islamabad : Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has canceled a scheduled visit to Turkey, local TV channel DAWN NEWS reported Friday.
The presidential spokesman Rashid Qureshi confirmed the cancellation of the visit but no specific reasons were given, said the report.
A local newspaper The News, however, reported Friday that Musharraf decided to postpone the visit following the unpredictable changes taking place in the political scenario of the country for the past many days.
Pakistan has informed Turkey about the postponement of Musharraf’s visit, a local media Pak Tribune said.
Musharraf was scheduled to meet Turkish President Abdullah Gulland other leaders later this month to discuss a host of issues of bilateral interest.
