Ghaziabad : A special court here Tuesday denied bail to Rajesh Talwar, arrested for allegedly killing his 14-year-old daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj in his Noida residence.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sapna Mishra said the court did not have the power to grant bail to an accused in a murder case.
Talwar’s lawyer will now move the session’s court for bail.
Aarushi was found murdered in her flat on May 16 with her throat slit. The Noida police initially named Hemraj as the prime accused but backtracked after his body was recovered a day later from the terrace of the flat.
Rajesh Talwar, a dentist, was arrested a week later on May 23.
