Makhachkala : One person was killed in a bomb blast in the center of Makhachkala, the capital of the North Caucasus Republic of Daghestan, the local security service said on Friday.
The bomb went off at 6:40 a.m. Moscow time (2:40 GMT) on Friday near the central marketplace and the central square of Makhachkala. The magnitude of the explosion has not yet been established, the security service said.
An investigative team is working at the scene of the explosion, the security service said.
