GJM renews call for indefinite shutdown in Darjeeling

Siliguri (West Bengal) : The Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM), agitating for a separate Gorkhaland state in northern West Bengal, Sunday renewed its call for an indefinite shutdown in Darjeeling Hills from Monday evening.

“The indefinite shutdown will resume in the three Hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling, Kurseong and Kalimpong Monday 6 p.m. In Siliguri, Terai and Dooars, our party will organise a relay hunger strike for an indefinite period,” GJM general secretary Roshan Giri told IANS.
