Shimla : The Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit has asked its cadre to be ready for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
At a two-day state BJP executive committee meeting that began Friday in picturesque Manali town, 300 km from here, party leaders discussed strategies for the general elections.
It asked its workers to popularise the policies of the party at the grass roots.
The committee also reviewed the performance of the five-month-old party government in the state.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, senior party leader Shanta Kumar, state party president Jairam Thakur and all ministers and MLAs are participating in the meeting.
Satyapal Jain, party in-charge of the state, told IANS that the state executive committee discussed strategies to take forward the party’s victory in the state assembly and Hamirpur parliamentary byelection.
