Raipur : The Chhattisgarh ombudsman Tuesday quashed a corruption case against Chief Minister Raman Singh and Chief Secretary Shivraj Singh.
Lokayukta K.M. Agrawal said he did not find any evidence of involvement of Raman Singh as well as of Shivraj Singh in the case.
Rajesh Bissa, a Congress leader, filed a complaint May 9, alleging that Raman Singh and Shivraj Singh had awarded a road construction contract to a private infrastructure company without inviting tenders.
The Lokayukat decision came after the chief minister and the chief secretary sent their separate written replies to the Ayog (Commission) in response to notices served on them.
Bissa, who handles media affairs of the Congress party in the state, said he was planning to move to the Bilaspur-based Chhattisgarh High Court against the Lokayukta decision.
