Islamabad : Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will embark on a 4-day visit to India from Friday at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, the Foreign Office of Pakistan said on Thursday.
Qureshi will hold talks with his counterpart, Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, on issues of mutual interest and explore the possibility of furthering bilateral cooperation for the common benefit and prosperity of the two countries, Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said at the weekly press briefing here.
He will call on the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and meet the political leadership of that country.
“The visit will help carry forward the peace process and address the outstanding issues between the two countries,” said Sadiq.
