8 bodies recovered in Pakistan’s tribal area

Islamabad : A total of eight dead bodies have been recovered from northwestern Pakistan’s tribal area on Monday.

Local TV channel Geo reported that unknown people killed the eight people who were abducted from Chinyanga area of Kurram tribal agency on Sunday.

One of the deceased was identified as Raja, a former activist of Taliban organization, said the report.

The local political administration has started investigations.

Security forces Saturday launched a major operation against militant groups in Khyber Agency. The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, a banned group in Pakistan, announced Sunday that they had scrapped all agreements with the government.

Situation in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal belt remains tense as the security forces continued to crack down on militants in the area.
