Six including two suicide bombers killed in Lahore blasts

Lahore : Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Malik Muhammad Iqbal Tuesday said four persons were killed and twelve others injured when two suicide bombers exploded themselves at Pakistan Naval War College, the Mall here. Talking to newsmen, the CCPO said that two suicide bombers came on a motorcycle to the college. One of them, riding on a motorbike, entered into the college while the other remained outside the gate.

Both of these bombers exploded themselves simultaneously resulting in death of four persons, including two security guards a sanitary worker and an unknown person.

The CCPO said due to the impact of the blasts CNG cylinders of some of the vehicles parked in the premises of the college exploded and fire engulfed some of the vehicles parked there.

The CCPO said body parts of the suicide bombers have been recovered from the site and further investigations are under way.

He said security in the city has been further beafed up following the incident.

To a question, he said the college is a sensitive area and blasts here are a matter of serious concern.

He said the injured were removed to various city hospitals.
